The Business Development team at IIED is looking for a Bid Support Manager with experience of working with institutional funders and/or Research Councils in proposal development to support the delivery of the ambitious new strategy.

IIED is looking for a driven Bid Support Manager to join the Business Development team, and work closely with Research Groups to play a critical role in supporting the proposal development process, ensuring proposals reach the highest professional standards and support the achievement of IIED’s fundraising strategy.

Our ambitious fundraising strategy has an overall aim of diversifying our funding and increasing the resources available to us, whilst at the same time, being systematic and effective at capturing donor intelligence.

In order to deliver on the above objectives, we are expanding our business development capacity and improving our fundraising systems. This post will report to the Head of Business Development and play a key part in supporting the Business Development function in its efforts to deliver the new strategy.

To succeed in this role, you should have substantial track record and expertise of successful proposal development for a range of institutional donors in the sustainable development arena. You should also be experienced in developing or implementing internal processes to support proposal development.

Educated to degree level you should have a high level of analytical, technical and synthesis skills and the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and succinct manner.
