This subgroup of the Development and Environment Group aims to address the broader financing for climate change debate linked to governance and institutions, and has now merged with the Climate Change Adaptation subgroup to reflect the focus on climate finance for climate change adaptation. The merged subgroup engages regularly with DFID and BEIS on the specifics of the ICF and GCF, as well as the broader institutional arrangements required to ensure that adequate levels of climate finance is mobilised for climate change adaptation, and that it reaches the most vulnerable communities. This merged subgroup also works on Loss and Damage (L&D) climate finance with the International Climate Talks subgroup on the development of L&D modalities under the UNFCCC as well on sources of finance for L&D.
The merged subgroup is chaired by Sally Tyldesley at CAFOD, and coordinated by Catherine Pettengell, DEG Coordinator (contact: [email protected])
