UK ODA in 2020 and 2021: What do we know?

Join us for a Bond-hosted event with experts from Development Initiatives and The ONE Campaign, as they share their latest analysis of UK ODA patterns and spend in 2020 and 2021.

The past year has seen big changes to the UK’s planned aid budget, both through cuts linked to GNI fluctuations and the decision to reduce ODA to 0.5%. Despite the magnitude of these changes, very little information has been shared on where and how cuts are being made. In this event we will be joined by Carolyn Culey and Bill Anderson from Development Initiatives, who will present their analysis of published IATI data and what this tells us about the UK’s aid spend in 2020 and 2021, and by Nasim Salad from The ONE Campaign, who will present their analysis of the possible spend scenarios for UK ODA in 2021.

The presentations will be followed by a Q&A and a discussion on using data to support advocacy work on the aid cuts.
