Conference and Awards 2019
The Bond Annual Conference and Awards is the biggest international development event in Europe, attracting over a thousand diverse people from across the international development and humanitarian sectors. NGOs, civil society leaders, researchers, funders, government and private sector come together to share ideas and interrogate emerging trends.
18-19 March 2019
QEII Conference Centre, London, SW1P 3EE
As civil society faces an increasingly complicated political environment and growing funding pressures, our two-day conference will challenge your thinking and stimulate debate around crucial current issues. You’ll get fresh insight from experts, exchange views with peers, and make connections across the sector.
You’ll be inspired to tackle the key challenges and organisational issues facing our sector. You’ll also get new ideas and tools to help your organisation respond to the future.
As well as talks, workshops and networking events, the conference includes an exhibition of over 50 prominent sector suppliers and Bond members. The first day features the Bond International Development Awards, which celebrates the sector’s inspiring people and achievements.
Secretary of state for international development Penny Mordaunt, Paralympian and crossbench peer Tanni Grey-Thompson, Kenyan human rights activist Maina Kiai, South African writer Sisonke Msimang and Indian activist Abhina Aher will be providing plenary speeches, with more keynote speakers to be announced soon.
