38 years' experience in 29 countries (both long term and short term assignments) in reproductive, maternal, newborn health programmes in government and non government sectors. Founder and director of Family Life Association of Swaziland (1978-1984), programme manager of ODA funding mechanism for NGOs in Bangladesh (1988-1992), health adviser with DFID in various countries (Nigeria, Pakistan), MNH technical adviser (Kenya, Malawi), and several years as a freelance consultant working for DFID, AusAID, Gates, World Bank and various NGOs. I serve as a trustee on the boards of two NGOs and provide pro bono services to them and others. Training and facilitation of meetings for strategic planning. Awarded MBE for work in Bangladesh and OBE for work in Nigeria.
