WWF UK, like its counterparts in 27 countries around the world, has three goals. These are to:
- conserve the extraordinary variety and range of life on earth
- use renewable resources like water and timber in sustainable ways
- reduce to a minimum pollution and the wasteful consumption of resources and energy.
WWF focuses on conservation of forests, wetlands, marine and coastal ecosystems and uses five main methods to achieve conservation: policy, education, communications, institutional development and exemplary field projects. WWF UK has one of the largest conservation/education and renewable resource teams in the WWF family.
