The UK Food Group
The UK’s principal civil society network on global food and farming issues

The UK Food Group works on key international food, agriculture and related environmental issues.
These include the need for a just, coherent, equitable and sustainable food system that serves the interests of food providers, consumers and the environment, particularly in poor, rural areas of the Global South.
The Group comprises about 35 organisations and represents Bond on global food and farming issues.
The group plays an important role in extending the discussion on food and farming issues among members and other UK NGO networks, as well as at the European level, including CONCORD’s European Food Security Group, and internationally.
The UK Food Group organises conferences, events and seminars and publishes occasional Briefings, the most recent being "Securing future food: towards ecological food provision".
With European partners the group leads on the monitoring of the EC Communication “Advancing African Agriculture” and, now, the new EC food security policy.
The UK Food Group’s website is at www.ukfg.org.uk. It also hosts information listservs on global food and farming issues; agricultural production, technology and trade; agrofuels and food sovereignty. It also maintains a website on agricultural biodiversity issues at www.ukabc.org.
