This issue focuses on the impact that the rise of emerging economies is having on international development including on aid effectiveness, southern partnerships and civil society. ODI, CAFOD, CIVICUS and Womankind contribute to the debate.
Although funding partnerships with business are increasing, far deeper collaboration is needed, according to Accenture Development Partnerships. In this issue they introduce the ‘convergence of solutions’ where the boundaries between sectors of ‘who does what’ will be fundamentally challenged and redefined. Meanwhile, Business in the Community gives some examples of how the private sector is contributing to development.

The Bond Anti-Bribery NGO Working Group has published a set of Anti-bribery Principles and Guidance for NGOs as the UK Bribery Act came into force on 1 July 2011.
