The client's story: World Vision UK
We asked World Vision UK how they found the experience of booking Bond's Introduction to international development course in-house.
Bond: Why did you decide to commission an in-house course? What did you hope to get out of it?
World Vision UK: Several new colleagues were new to international development and we wanted them to gain a broader (rather than just World Vision) understanding of what international development is.
How did you find the process of commissioning an in-house course with Bond?
I found it a very easy and effective process.
Did the training meet your expectations? Did you get what you needed? Please explain how/in what way?
It did meet our expectations. All participants gained a good introductory understanding of international development.
How did you find the facilitator?
The facilitator was very knowledgeable and approachable. She did a fantastic job and gained a good rapport with the group very early on in the course.
How did you feel at the end of the course?
There is a definite development of knowledge and confidence in those who attended the course.
Have you made any changes to the way you work as a result? Do you plan to make any more?
We haven’t made any changes that I know of but the participants have gained a good understanding and therefore better equipped to do their job.
Why should people think about commissioning an in-house course?
It’s cost effective and enables a number of colleagues to do the course together which enhances the learning experience.
