Step 2 - Select your membership type
There are three types:
Full membership
Open to UK-based organisations actively working in international development. Activities that directly constitute work in this area include supporting projects overseas, involvement in solidarity links, advocacy and campaigning, development education or emergency assistance.
Associate membership
Open to UK-based organisations that aim to support UK non-governmental development organisations through funding, research, information provision, training or other services.
Provisional membership
Open to UK-based organisations that can demonstrate they are working towards being active in international development or supporting NGOs. This may be through preparing to support projects overseas, becoming involved in solidarity links, advocacy and campaigning, development education or emergency assistance; or preparing to support UK development NGOs through funding, research, information provision, training or other services.
NOTE: Provisional members may undertake activities that fulfil the criteria for full or associate membership. In this case, your organisation will need to change to the relevant membership category when the subscription renewal is due. The maximum duration of provisional membership is normally two years.
Voting rights at the AGM are only availbale to full members. Associate and provisional members do not have a vote, however, they enjoy the same benefits as full members.
