The Barefoot Guide to Working with Organisations and Social Change
This guide was put together by a global team of development practitioners and activists (contributors include Bond members Oxfam, ActionAid and VSO among others)as do-it-yourself guide to help organisations to function and develop in more effective ways. Its purpose is to help stimulate and enrich the practice of anyone supporting organisations and social movements in their challenges of working, learning, growing and changing to meet the needs of our complex world.
The Barefoot Guide can be downloaded for free at www.barefootguide.org which also contains a library of additional downloadable exercises, readings, case studies and diagrams to accompany the Guide.
The International HIV/Aids Alliance website has useful NGO support resources and links, including a How to Build a Good Small NGO toolkit.
