Our new website
My Bond will be a social network for the international development sector. Once launched, in spring 2012, it will change the way that we communicate with our members and the way members interact with each other.
At the same time we'll be refreshing the rest of our website with a new look and feel, clearer navigation and some new functionality too.
Sign up to be one of the first to use it at the bottom of this page.

Networking, sharing, collaborating
As well as enhancing the online experience for existing Bond groups, My Bond will be a new platform for member organisations and for the individuals who work for those organisations. It will encourage collaboration on content and practice and enable the cross-fertilisation of ideas.
My Bond will enable people to talk to each other, to collaborate and to hear what others are up to. It will provoke the international development sector to share thoughts, opinions, successes and failures in a secure space. It will give opportunities for members to connect and to work together.
Social hub
Many organisations already use social networks and we don't want or expect them to change these practices.
So My Bond will build on existing networks, pulling in people's Twitter and RSS feeds, linking to people's activity on Facebook and LinkedIn.
As well as enabling discussion and collaboration it will be a digital hub, pulling in the best of what's going on in the world of international development, capturing buzz and promoting good work.
New groupings
Old fashioned, static structures can be inflexible and unproductive. Silos can be created, within which good ideas flutter around like trapped moths.
My Bond will enable more fluid, responsive workspaces that might form around EU aid policy, the way to build sand dams or the best stationery suppliers.
Digitally engaging
My Bond will be a fascinating place to browse and to establish working relationships across offices and across oceans. It will look good and it will have all sorts of exciting new functionality that's intuitive and easy to use.
All of this will be built on our members: their work, their pleas for help, their insights, their ideas. We hope it will become the centrepiece of the sector.
We can't wait to see what you'll do with it.
