Influencing policy on international development

International policy

Tackling global poverty requires rich countries to change the policies and practices that damage developing countries.

International processes including the G8, G20, the Millennium Development Goals and High level Forums on Aid Effectiveness continue to be seen by civil society in the UK and around the world as having far reaching implications for international development.

UK civil society is active in monitoring, influencing and reacting to these processes, as well as coordinating with civil society in other countries.

Bond's role

In association with both UK civil society and networks and platforms in other countries, Bond coordinates and supports advocacy activities around G8 and G20 processes, the Millennium Development Goals summits and the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness.

For more information contact the Bond Advocacy team or see our work around G8, G20, MDGs and HLF processes.
