"We want to see the Millennium Development Goals achieved by their 2015 target and think that the cancellation of all unjust and unsustainable traditional debt 'owed' by the developing world to richer countries would be a significant step in that direction. Economic justice underpins so many of the problems that we are trying to address and can help prevent future debt and poverty, so lets use the UN summit later in the year to signal genuine commitment to a fairer world."
