Graham Young
Consultancy, facilitation and interim management.
Over the last three years I have specialised in interim management acting as a Director in difficult situations where rapid change has been required. I am a good people manager, I am decisive and I make things happen. I am experienced in multicultural working environments.
I have also acted as consultant on stakeholder consultation, strategy development and international governance issues.
I was one of the founders of the Traidcraft Exchange in the early 80's and Director there until the year 2000, since then I have worked freelance.
During my time with Traidcraft, I used my chairing and facilitation skills to work with key agencies to establish and Chair the Boards of the Fairtrade Foundation, the European Fair Trade Association (EFTA), the World Fair Trade Organisation (WFTO) and various other social enterprises in the UK and overseas. I have facilitated high level workshops on contentious issues with key actors in the ethical textiles debate and Fairtrade and the International Trades Unions.
In the past I have consulted on Corporate Social Responsibility issues and presented TV programmes for both the BBC and ITV.
I have been a Trustee of a number of charities and am presently a Trustee of SolarAid.
