About the Group

The Funding Working Group provides a forum for Bond members to share their experience of relationships with UK funders, including DFID, the Big Lottery Fund and Comic Relief.

The Funding Working Group also liaises with the EC Funding Group, the DFID Funding Group and the Voluntary Income Fundraising Group.

The group is open to all Bond members and meets approximately three times a year; other meetings may take place as needed.

Two co-chairs and a steering committee guide the group and any collective advocacy it undertakes, and meet to track donor information and organise group meetings.

The experiences shared amongst members may lead to:

  • advocacy positions to donors
  • identification of learning and training needs
  • consultation events or meetings with donors
