European campaigning work through Bond
External events
Bond co-ordinates collective campaigns to ensure that EU policies work for the world's poor.
In 2009, elections took place for the European Parliament. Bond worked with campaigners to encourage voters and MEPs alike to use their votes against poverty, injustice and environmental degradation.

Capacity building
Bond offers various ways of building capacity for European campaigning, including training events on how the EU institutions work. To find out more about these, please contact the Bond Europe team.
Bond members may also contact the European Campaigns Officer to discuss specific ideas they may have around EU campaigning, or for help with an ongoing campaign which focuses, wholly or in part, on the EU.
Bond's campaigning and advocacy work with European Networks
Bond represents its members in a number of pan-European civil society networks, including the Global Call to Action Against Poverty Europe and the European NGO Confederation for Relief and Development (CONCORD).
Global Call to Action against Poverty Europe
GCAP Europe is the European section of the Global Call to Action against Poverty.
GCAP Europe was set up in February 2007 and has national coalition members in 31 countries. GCAP Europe's Brussels based Secretariat helps facilitate dialogue and co-operation regarding pan-European campaigning and advocacy work on development and climate change issues.
Bond represents UK civil society in this forum and communicates decisions and plans back to Bond members in the UK. For more information, please contact the Bond Europe team.
CONCORD
CONCORD, the European NGO Confederation for Relief and Development, co-ordinates much of the lobby work that takes place in Brussels and provides a space for its member NGOs to discuss lobby work in individual countries. CONCORD is also a member of GCAP Europe.
