Value for money
The Bond Effectiveness Programme is a three-year programme of work that started in October 2009.
As a part of the consultation process around the programme, we hold quarterly meetings with the membership.
We also held a special event on the theme of Value for Money in February 2011.

Value for money
Value for money: linking NGO practice and aid policy May 2011
Members came together for a roundtable to discuss a coherent sector-wide position on value for money. Participants considered different definitions of value for money and the key challenges around the agenda. Moving forwards, Bond will start working on a position paper for input, discussion and agreement amongst members, to be published in advance of the High Level Form on Aid Effectiveness (HLF4) in November. Bond will also establish a technical group, as part of the wider effectiveness programme, for those grappling with value for money to share experiences in applying different approaches.
Workshop February 2011
The Bond effectiveness team hosted a half-day workshop in which forty-eight member organisations took stock of the relevant debates and heard from DFID and Bond members who have trialled a value for money approach.
Straight afterwards, the Governance Group ran an event on how we can better measure and monitor the impact of governance programmes.
