Campaigning globally
Tackling
global poverty requires rich countries changing those policies that damage
developing countries.
Bond members are increasingly active at the international level, focusing on major opportunities such as United Nations (UN) processes or international trade negotiations and promoting international policy changes to effectively fight poverty worldwide.
The Bond role
In association with overseas partners such as the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP), Bond supports advocacy activities around international meetings.
Bond has been engaged in political processes such as the G8 summit, special meetings of the UN (eg the UN High Level Event on the Millennium Development Goals, 2008), and other fora such as the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Accra (September 2008) and the Conference of Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
If you would like to get involved with policy advocacy or public campaigning around future international meetings and summits please email the Advocacy and Representation team.
