Apply to become a member

If your organisation is eligible, applying to become a Bond member is straightforward.  It can only be done online.  The steps below explain the process and requirements.

What you need to complete an application online

Ideally, you need to have the following information and supporting documentation on hand before starting to complete your application online:

• The full contact details of your organisation
• The charity/company registration number of your organisation as applicable
• Financial and governance documentation including annual report, final accounts, articles of association or memorandum

During the online application, you will be asked to:

• Provide the names of a 'Bond Director' and a 'Bond Contact' for your organisation
• Explain how your organisation meet Bond's membership criteria
• Sign up to our Statement of Principles
• Provide a description of your organisation
• Give the names of two external referees

Handy tips on completing your application

• Make sure that your organisation is eligible using the criteria in Step 1
• Save your application as you go along - there are eight sections to go through in total - this will give you an opportunity to reflect on it and ensure that you present a strong application for Bond to consider
• Make sure you send us all the information as indicated in the application form.  There might be a delay to processing your application if information is missing
• Keep a copy of your completed application form for your records
