Annual Conference and AGM 2010
Bond members and NGO leaders confronted and addressed some of the most pressing issues of our time at the 2010 annual conference and AGM. Over 200 delegates attended at King's Fund in London and there was a keynote address by the Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell, Secretary of State for International Development, followed by questions from Bond members.

Progressive development: NGO leadership to 2016
Thursday 4 November 2010, central London
The next five years, for Bond, UK NGOs and international development, will be demanding as the effects of financial, economic, and environmental crises continue to hit the lives of people living in poverty the hardest.
This, coupled with the stark challenge of meeting the Millennium Development Goals by 2015, a changing UK political and economic landscape, and responding to demands to improve the accountability and effectiveness of NGOs, requires fresh and creative responses.

With a focus on NGO leadership to 2016 and the role of civil society in meeting these challenges, the day provided a challenging programme to stimulate thought and debate and was a great opportunity to hear what other NGO leaders think and to connect with peers.

It was one of the best conferences I’ve ever been to... sharp, relevant and something Bond should be really proud of. I got so much value out of the whole day.
