Application Process
Please select which membership category (Full, Associate or Provisional) best suits your organisation by reading the criteria below and the information about Subscription Rates. Application forms can be downloaded at the end of each category description.
Applications for membership of BOND must meet the criteria set out in the application forms and be accompanied by the relevant documentation before they can be put before the BOND Board of Trustees for approval.
Applicants that do not meet the criteria and/or do not provide the necessary documentation will not be considered for membership.

Timetable
Applications for BOND Membership must be put before the Board of Trustees for approval. There are four membership rounds per year.

Full BOND Membership
Full BOND membership is open to UK-based voluntary organisations working in international development, including those concerned with environmental issues in developing countries and development education.
An organisation should apply for FULL membership if it undertakes any activities which DIRECTLY constitute international development work e.g. supporting projects overseas, involvement in solidarity links, development education or emergency assistance.

Associate BOND Membership
Associate BOND membership is open to UK-based organisations that aim to support British development NGOs through funding, research, information provision, training or other services.
Though such organisations will probably be charities, membership may also include Trusts, Foundations, Co-operatives, Friendly Societies, and Companies limited by Guarantee.

Provisional BOND Membership
Provisional BOND membership is open to UK-based organisations who are working towards being active in international development.
This may be through preparing to support projects overseas, or becoming involved in solidarity links, development education or emergency assistance; or preparing to support British development NGOs through funding, research, information provision, training or other services.
