The European Union is the biggest aid donor in the world and the main trading partner of countries in the South. This course explains how the EU works, how decisions are made, and the impact of the Lisbon Treaty on foreign affairs and international development.

It highlights where NGOs can have the greatest influence in the process, and how your organisation can use the EU to get across its message. Guest speakers will share their experience of European advocacy.
