DFID Institutional Strategy Paper for Europe
Afghanistan country plan consultation
Working in partnership with World Health Organisation, DFID New Institutional Strategy (2008-2013)
DFID is currently involved in developing a joint UK Institutional Strategy with the Department of Health, England and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in consultation with other departments with an interest in the World Health Organisation.
The Institutional Strategy sets out the rationale and objectives for UK support to the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the way DFID and the WHO can work together and with others more effectively.
As part of DFID's consultation process comments and views from people and organisations with an interest in WHO and global health issues are welcomed.

The consultation will run until 1 August 2008.
DFID Institutional Strategy Paper for Europe
International Development Minister Gareth Thomas launched the finalised DFID Institutional Strategy Paper for Europe on 23 June. The strategy outlines DFID's vision for working more closely on international development policy with the other EU member states, the European Commission, European Parliamentarians and with civil society.
This follows a 12 week public consultation that BOND responded to.
Afghanistan country plan consultation
Over the next few months DFID will be thinking through how best to provide development support to the government and people of Afghanistan through the preparation of a Country Plan. DFID is asking for answers on a a few questions and comments and suggestions on the future direction of DFID's programme in Afghanistan. They will use the comments and questions to help develop the issues and choices that will be presented to the Secretary of State for International Development in the summer. Zambia Country Assistance Plan
DFID is developing a country assistance plan to guide our development partnership with Zambia for the next 3-5 years. DFID is presently inviting public comments to feed into the planning process, specific questions and details for submitting comments are set out on the DFID website.
Consultation on how to ensure 'Effective Consultation'
The Cabinet Office has issued a consultation entitled 'Effective Consultation' which examines how government currently consults and asks for views on how this process can be improved.
Deadline for this consultation has now passed.
